You've probably noticed that I have a real soft spot for animals. It's no secret that I'm passionate about protecting animals and because I feel so strongly, I make it a part of my business as well. Last year  Saffron on the Hill Inc  ( Not-for-profit organisation that rescues, rehabilitates and  rehomes dogs, including quite a few Pugs!) used some of my Pug Soaps at a charity auction to fundraise for vet bills and I just received this wonderful email to let me know how it went:- Hi Thank you again, letting you know that your item and contributions enabled Saffron on the Hill to pay for almost a full surgery for Bob, and large contribution to Daisy's surgery. Thank you for your wonderful products. Kindest regards Karen McVeigh Yaaaaaaaaaay! That makes me so happy. I absolutely love to hear back and find out how everything went. In light of the terrible devastation in Japan, I've decided to donate  part of the proceeds from my February sales  to  Animal Refuge Kansai (ARK)  instead of the Premier's Flood Appeal as I had mentioned initially. After seeing pictures and video of the tireless efforts of animal agencies in the stricken areas of Japan, I think the money is best off over there. " ARK will accept as many animals as possible, those made homeless from the TOHOKU-PACIFIC earthquake and tsunami which occurred on 11th March. Any donations will be used for the animals made homeless in this terrible disaster. "

If you're a fan of my  Facebook Page  you may remember a post I made last month about donating part of the proceeds from my 18th January to the 28th February sales to the  Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal . Well the good news is, I've tallied up my sales and am able to donate $50! Thanks to all of my fantastic customers for your support which has allowed even more money to be donated to a good cause.
